This year we are partnering again with Boy Scout Troop 422 during the weeks leading up to the Super Bowl. It is a canned food drive that mobilizes young people to fight hunger in their local community. Just like last year, we are competing against another local church (Wooden Cross Lutheran Church) to see who can collect more canned goods. Join in this friendly competition and feed your neighbors in need! Bring canned goods to church now through Feb 3rd and drop them off in the labeled bin in the Narthex. Thanks for your help!

Join us for our annual chili cook-off event right after church on Feb 17th! Get your crock pots out and be ready to share your best chili (or corn bread) recipe with other members of the church. We will all taste test and vote for our favorites while sitting and enjoying fellowship time. This year's twist? A friendly men vs. women competition to see who has the better tasting dish. (Right in line with Valentine's Day, right?) Drinks and dessert are provided by our wonderful potluck team.

Invite a friend or two...Especially if they have a delicious chili recipe!

On Feb 23-26, our denomination, the United Methodist Church, is having a special General Conference to discuss and decide “A Way Forward” concerning issues around human sexuality. As a reconciling church that has adopted a statement of inclusion, we are asking all of you to take some time to pray for the delegation that will be at this conference. May God help all to find a healthy and affirming way for the people who are called United Methodists to move forward and affirm others. Info concerning this on the guest table in the lobby. Pastor Brook or Rev. Dave O. are also open for conversation.
