“Waiting for the Rose to Spring”  Isaiah 11:1-10

The Afghan Immigrant Family Giving Tree

unnamed (1).jpg

We are currently reaching out to 15 refugee families who are now living here in the Seattle Area from Afghanistan. If you would like to help out, please go to the Afghan Immigrant Family Giving tree in our gathering space and pick out a name or two to pray for and then bring diapers, children’s toys, and children’s books every Sunday to put under the tree! You can also support this ministry by giving money. Place an offering in the offering plate and mark it Afghan Immigrant Family, or go to our website click “give”, and then “online giving.”  Thanks!

You are invited to the Christmas Festival on Saturday, Dec 8th! Stop by anytime between 2-5pm. For more information click click below.

Reverse Advent Calendar Food Baskets

You’ve all seen them…the Christmas/Advent Candy calendars…you know the ones that you open up a little window each day and then gobble down a cool and delicious chocolate?  Well, how about something even sweeter! Instead of getting candy…how about giving nutritional food to families everyday as you count down to Christmas. This Sunday we will have baskets for you to take home and a list of food items to fill the basket up each day.  This is a great learning lesson for both child and adult. Join us as we bend down low and feed families who are in much the same situation as Mary and Joseph were on that first Christmas!

Our Christmas Pageant practice is starting up Sunday, Dec 2nd after church (11:15-12:15), so please jump in if interested! It is a fun, lighthearted Christmas story. All ages welcome – we will practice in E8/E9. Additional practice dates include: Dec 9th (11:15-1:15, lunch included) / Dec 15th (2-4pm dress rehearsal) / Dec 16th show at 11:15am.

Please see Pastor Brook if you need additional info: 605-610-7793.
