This Sunday we Are Headed to the Food Bank Farm! Please join us as we pick beets and carrots and who knows what else for Hopelink for the hungry!  We plan to head out at 11:30.   Afterwards we are inviting everyone to join us for an apple cider (on us) at Bob’s Corn and Pumpkin farm general store at 2:30 pm.  Why not make it a family event and join us?!!  For more info check out at https://facebook.com/Veggies for Food Banks/  All ages are welcome!

OUR NEW COFFEE MINISTRY IS READY TO ROLL. We had a barrista training event yesterday, but if you would like to be a part of this ministry, contact Danielle at support@bcumc.org.   We would love to have you on our team!

God’s Hands

God’s Hands is meeting next Tuesday night at 7:30 in the

multipurpose room.  Please join us, all are welcome!  We will look at mission opportunities for the coming months and plan for ways to reach out to our friends in need.  The goal is to be “God’s Hands” as we fight hunger & homelessness, walking alongside struggling individuals through intentional encounters.G

Afghan Refugee Ministry team

This Team reached out to 9 Afghan families the past week.  Working closely with the Muslim Community Resource Center, a U-Haul trailer full of household goods, baby items, and toys were delivered to each family!  Find out more by going to our bcumc.org/newsletter.

Small Groups

Our Unafraid” small group studies begin this week, but it’s not too late to sign up.  We have a Thursday 6 pm class in Bothell still open and a Friday at 9:30 am at BCUMC. If you are interested go to bcumc.org, then click on small groups!  Or talk with Daniel Walsh our Congregational Assistant and she’ll get you connected.

Our of our best front porch outreach events is our Trunk or Treat Community Party!   This year it is scheduled for Sun.,  Oct 28 from 4-6 pm.  The cornerstone of this event is to deck out your car in a fun theme, dress to match, and fill your trunk up with candy!  We also have a ton of fun things to do for families.  To sign up to help set up, decorate your car, or to just let us know you are coming, please go to our events page: bcumcwoodinville.churchcenter.com/registrations/events. Thank you for your enthusiasm and community spirit!

Random Act of Kindness

I don’t know about you, but sometimes I just need to do something good!  On Sat., Oct. 13, at 7:30 am a group of folk at Bear Creek UMC aim to do just that.  We’ll meet at 7:30 for a short breakfast and then head out as a group to bless someone else’s life with our hands and hearts.  Our goal is to be done by 10:30...that’s a.m.!  Come join us!  PS: If you know of someone who could use 10 or so willing hands for a Saturday project, give Pastor Brook a call at 6056107793!
