Rabbi Johanna Kinberg and Pastor Brook McBride will host a soup supper (w bread) in the gathering space at Bear Creek UMC. After supper, we will dialogue about just what our shared hope for the world is, and what it means to work together for that hope in this world. Please join us, we will start eating around 6:30 and dialogue will begin around 7 or 7:15.
From Pastor Brook:
I want to give you a personal invite to an event we are having at Bear Creek UMC that is so crucial for the times we are living in. If you are like me, the shooting at the Jewish temple in Pittsburgh has shaken you. As a Christian, violence of this kind towards another faith community is an atrocity to us all. It just can’t be said strongly enough. We are a people of peace hoping for peace in all God’s holy mountain (the whole world), so when something like this happens to a community close to our heart, we are saddened and called to action. This Wednesday, I encourage you to join us for an event we are co-sponsoring with Congregation Kol Ami called “A Rabbi and a Minister go out for Supper!”
