Change the World
BCUMC is changing the world…
For the past few years, our church has participated in a United Methodist initiative called “Change The World.” The idea is that, through one day of service in the community, our church makes a real and visible difference in the world around us. For one day, we live and love like Jesus did.
But we’re supposed to do that every day.
At Bear Creek UMC, rather than celebrating “Change The World” day, we celebrate “Change The World” month. This year’s activities include planting seeds and harvesting veggies for Food Bank Farm, building Mothers Day baskets for the women of Matthew House, Woodinville Crop Walk, and a welcome BBQ for Camp Unity Eastside.
Nobody can do everything. But everybody can do something to serve. As we serve, our hearts, minds and spirits are changed, and we grow closer to living and loving like Jesus.
What will YOU do? The events for 2018 are listed below:
Mother’s Day Baskets for Matthew House
When: Sunday, May 6, 10:45am
Where: BCUMC lobby
Take a basket from the lobby and fill it with goodies any mother would love. Return filled baskets to Bear Creek UMC by Sunday, May 6th and we will deliver them to Matthew House.
