On August 14, 2009, a group from Bear Creek United Methodist Church was scheduled to head south for a week-long mission trip in the Olancha province of Central Honduras. As a part of Honduras Outreach, the group was to be working with the people of local villages. Although our specific projects had not yet been determined, they would likely have included a Vacation Bible School and construction activities. Honduras Outreach operates a ranch compound where the mission team was to stay at night after working in area villages during the day. A number of folks had committed to the trip and were already preparing but the trip was canceled due to political unrest in Honduras. Thanks to the many who were supporting this trip and helping us prepare. We hope to be able to reschedule the trip at a future date.  Contact Marcia Gordon for more information.
