Weekly Announcements for Sunday, March 2
Posted by the webmaster under Announcements
One Great Hour of Sharing. Today we are asking for your donations to One Great Hour of Sharing and the United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR). Your offering today helps millions of people recover from earthquakes and floods; with community-based health care; with loan programs for women; and with sustainable development, to name a few. People around the world depend on UMCOR, and UMCOR depends on your One Great Hour of Sharing offering. Please give generously. Your gift makes a world of difference!
Church Giving. When making contributions to the church, please make sure that you identify to which fund it is going. Our major funds are the General Operating Fund, the Capital Fund and the Endowment Fund. Periodically during the year contributions are asked for special funds as well, such as today’s One Great Hour of Sharing. By clearly indicating a designated fund, you will greatly simplify the job of the counters and assure that your contribution gets credited properly. Thank you.
Last Supper Drama. In your bulletin today you’ll see a postcard inviting friends, neighbors and relatives to our tableau presentation of the Last Supper. Please personalize your card and give or send it to someone who might enjoy the drama and our Easter worship service. Postage is 26ยข. If you would like the office to mail postcards for you, please call, e-mail or mark your presence slip with the name and address of the invitee.
Handbell Choir. We are putting together a special handbell choir for Easter. With only three weeks to go, we will meet on Thursdays at 6:30 p.m. Debbie Leyva has agreed to direct, and our goal is to play at both services on Easter. Please come if you can. It will be fun!
Coffee Hour Hosts. The following people have graciously offered to bring coffee hour treats (cookies, fruit or sandwiches. This is one way we can “serve” church. Please see Connie Gagnon if you would like to host a Sunday.
